What to expect during treatment
Chin and neck liposuction can be performed by itself or in combination with a facelift and other liposuction procedures. During your initial consultation with our team, we will thoroughly evaluate your concerns to recommend the best approach for achieving your aesthetic goals.
On the day of your procedure, you’ll be welcomed into our comfortable state-of-the-art surgical facility in Miami, Florida. Depending on your preferences and how much fat is being removed either general or local anesthesia will be used to keep you comfortable during surgery. Once the anesthesia has taken effect, your surgeon will insert a cannula through small incisions in the treatment area, carefully moving it back and forth to dislodge fat cells and suction them away.
This surgery takes less than an hour to complete in total. Afterward, you’ll be able to return home and begin the recovery process. To ensure your safety, a trusted friend or family member will need to drive you home and stay with you for the first 24 hours after your procedure.

Following your chin and neck liposuction, you will be fitted with a compression garment to help promote quick healing. The total recovery time for this procedure is about four to six weeks, but most patients feel comfortable returning to work within a few days. You can expect swelling, bruising and redness in the treated area, but these side effects are normal and temporary, and should subside over the following days or weeks.
