Nonsurgical facial rejuvenation

As we age, our skin loses some of its natural elasticity and volume, leading to unwanted lines, wrinkles and facial folds. Dermal fillers are a popular treatment option for addressing these concerns, providing immediate and long-lasting results that rejuvenate your overall appearance. Whether you’re looking to enhance the lips, cheeks or other areas affected by volume loss, the experienced team at PURE Plastic Surgery is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.

What are
Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances designed to treat the signs of aging. They work by adding volume beneath the skin, which helps to lift and support the overlying tissues. The most popular and prevalent dermal fillers are made with hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring complex sugar that attracts and retains moisture to keep the skin plump and hydrated. When injected beneath the skin, dermal fillers smooth away unwanted lines and wrinkles, providing immediate results that can last for several months up to a year or more, depending on the product used.

At PURE, we offer two different types of HA-based dermal fillers to help you achieve and maintain a firm, supple appearance: the Juvéderm family of fillers and Restylane.

Juvéderm®

Juvéderm®

Juvéderm is one of the most popular and trusted brands of HA fillers. It offers a complete line of products designed to address your most specific concerns, from fine lines and wrinkles to significant volume loss. The Juvéderm family of fillers includes:

  • Juvéderm Voluma: Specifically formulated to add volume to the cheeks and midface, providing noticeable lift and more youthful contours.
  • Juvéderm Ultra & Ultra Plus: Ideal for smoothing moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, including laugh lines (nasolabial folds) and marionette lines.
  • Juvéderm Volbella: Designed for vertical lip lines and lip augmentation.
  • Juvéderm Vollure: Effective for correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, providing natural-looking results that last.
  • Juvéderm Volux: Specifically designed to enhance the jawline, improving the shape and structure of the lower face for enhanced contours.

Juvéderm fillers are known for their smooth consistency and long-lasting results, with some products providing benefits for up to two years.

Restylane®

Restylane®

Restylane is the original HA filler and offers a diverse range of treatment options to address the signs of aging in the lips, face and hands. The Restylane family of fillers includes:

  • Restylane: The original Restylane formula is versatile, designed to smooth away moderate wrinkles and add volume and fullness to the skin.
  • Restylane Lyft: Provides lift and volume to the cheeks and corrects age-related contour deficiencies in the midface; can also be used to add fullness to the back of the hands.
  • Restylane Refyne & Defyne: Designed with XpresHAn Technology™, these fillers soften lines, wrinkles and folds while maintaining natural facial expressions.
  • Restylane Kysse: Specifically formulated for lip augmentation, Restylane Kysse adds fullness and volume to the lips for precise, natural-looking results.

What concerns can Dermal Fillers treat?

Static Lines & Wrinkles

Static Lines & Wrinkles

Unlike dynamic wrinkles that appear with every facial expression you make, static lines and wrinkles are visible even when the face is at rest. Juvederm and Restylane add volume beneath the skin to fill in these creases, effectively smoothing away nasolabial folds, marionette lines and more.

Facial Contouring

Facial Contouring

Unlike dynamic wrinkles that appear with every facial expression you make, static lines and wrinkles are visible even when the face is at rest. Juvederm and Restylane add volume beneath the skin to fill in these creases, effectively smoothing away nasolabial folds, marionette lines and more.

Dark Circles

Dark Circles

Undereye hollows can cause dark circles to appear beneath the eyes, making you look tired and older than you feel. Fillers can add volume to this area and create a smoother transition from the tear troughs to the upper cheeks, restoring a brighter and more rested look.

Lip Fillers

Lip Fillers

Full, well-defined lips are a common aesthetic goal. Dermal fillers can enhance the natural shape and volume of your lips, providing a plumper, more youthful look. They can also be used to correct asymmetries and smooth out fine lines that develop around the mouth.

Ideal candidates for
Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are ideal for almost anyone looking to restore lost volume and address the signs of aging without undergoing invasive surgery. Treatments are highly customizable and can be tailored to your exact concerns, providing results that blend in seamlessly with your natural features. Our goal is to bring out the best in your skin and help you achieve a refreshed look!

Is there any
downtime?

No recovery or downtime is required after receiving dermal filler injections, although you’ll experience some minor redness, bruising and swelling for a short time following your appointment. No matter which product was used during your treatment, any side effects can be easily managed with ice packs and over-the-counter pain relievers.

Dermal Filler results

One of the most appealing aspects of fillers is that the results are immediately visible. As soon as the filler is injected, you'll notice smoother skin, reduced wrinkles and restored volume in treated areas. This makes dermal fillers an excellent choice for busy individuals looking to rejuvenate their appearance quickly without surgery, downtime or a long recovery period.

The longevity of your results may differ depending on your concerns and the filler used. In areas with less movement, such as the cheeks, the effects tend to last longer, up to 18 months or more. If you opt for treatment in areas with high mobility, like the lips or mouth, the product may metabolize faster and require a touch-up after about six to nine months.

As you notice your results beginning to fade, dermal fillers can be safely re-administered to help you maintain smooth, youthful skin all year. Your treatment may also be combined with other nonsurgical procedures like Botox and IPL photofacials to bring your results to the next level!
