Pre-Op Care Instructions
Your personalized lab order for the tests you will need to take to get cleared for surgery will be sent to you 45-60 days prior to your surgery date. You will also be getting a call about 6 weeks before your surgery, to review all Pre-op Instructions over the phone. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you spend 10-15 mins with our Pre-op Coordinator on this call so we can cover all of the instructions, as well as have all of your questions answered so please be prepared for this call.
Please STOP all estrogen-based products 30 days prior to the surgery date. Estrogen ORAL (by mouth) birth control, estradiol, estrogen creams, and estrogen injections. If you are unsure what oral birth control you have, please contact your gynecologist to confirm.
BMI Calculator
Your BMI (Body Mass Index) will affect how well you respond to Body Plastic Surgery. All patients should keep in mind that Body Plastic Surgery is not intended as a weight loss procedure. For some procedures such as a tummy tuck, the recommended BMI is less than 30. For a Brazilian butt lift, your BMI should be greater than 20 so you have enough fat. People with a higher BMI may have more complications with surgery and recovery. Your doctor will help you understand the requirements for your procedure.
