Is Bodytite right for me?

When fat and mild to moderate sagging skin are keeping you from the body of your dreams, even with exercise and proper diet, BodyTite may be the right option to help achieve your body goals. BodyTite is a minimally invasive way to tighten the skin and contour areas of the body by using radiofrequency therapy. During the procedure, the surgeon places a thin probe beneath the skin to apply radiofrequency energy to the tissue fibers. When the energy converted to heat comes into contact with the tissue fibers, it causes them to contract and shrink.

BodyTite requires a shorter recovery time than traditional alternatives, such as skin removal, and it can be performed in one hour using twilight type anesthesia. Early results can be seen in two (2) weeks after the procedure, but final results, including skin contraction will often take six (6) months after treatment concludes.

The most common areas for BodyTite are buttocks, arms, abdomen and thighs.

What is BodyTite?

BodyTite is a radio-frequency (RF) device that can tighten loose, sagging or hanging skin by using radiofrequency to target problem areas. It uses three-dimensional tissue remodeling through fat coagulation and by heating the collagen under the skin. When this occurs, the fat is eliminated and the fibers around the fat cells are strengthened.

BodyTite delivers radiofrequency both on the skin and under the skin’s surface, which shrinks the collagen and causes the skin to tighten. The heat transmitted by BodyTite’s radiofrequency is monitored and controlled to prevent burns unlike many other RF devices that only target the skin’s surface and are unable to properly manage the effects of the heat.

BodyTite can treat mild to moderate sagging skin, stubborn pockets of fat and mild gynecomastia (male breasts).

Liposuction with BodyTite

In some cases, liposuction is performed in conjunction with BodyTite and uses the same incision sites on the skin. Once the fat is removed through liposuction, the BodyTite radiofrequency is used to contract the tissues that may otherwise sag as they are less supported without the fat.

After the BodyTite procedure, patients will wear a compression garment for up to six weeks and can return to work in three days.
