What is Lumecca IPL?

Lumecca IPL device by Inmode is an intense pulse light (IPL) therapy solution used to treat brown pigmented scars, red spots and skin lesions. It is considered the most powerful IPL on the market. Lumeneca uses a sapphire colling tip that emits multiple wavelengths of light onto the skin. These wavelengths are absorbed by the skin’s blood vessels that are broken down to dimmish the targeted skin issues and enhance the skin’s appearance.  

How many sessions of Lumenca do you need?

After one session patients can notice immediate results in the skin, however, it typically takes 1-3 session to show vast improvement in problematic skin or skin that has been damaged over the course of several years. What happens during Lumenca skin therapy?

Lumeneca skin therapy treatment offers a non-surgical minimal discomfort solution to skin damage. During the session the Lumeca emits a bright flash of light, which may cause a slight warming sensation to the skin and possible redness. For up to 48 hours, skin spots may darken and flake off. 

What skin issues can be treated with Lumecca?

Lumecca is safe to use on all areas of the body, including face, legs, hands, neck, arms, legs and décolletage. The most common areas are those exposed to the sun. What are the side effects for Lumeneca?

The vast majority of patients do not experience any side effects or skin reactions to Lumeneca skin therapy treatment. Any skin reactions typically last only a few minutes up to a few hours. Some may find they are sensitive to the sun after a session and may want to use sunscreen and wear protective gear for a few weeks after treatment.
